On March 11th the
NFCT held a Campaign Startup meeting to gather our membership
and start the process of working together to find, fund, and build
a new home for the NFCT. It was a wonderful time where friends
from past years met new faces and all gathered together with the
common purpose of ensuring that the wonderful, vibrant community
of the NFCT continues well beyond its current jubilee age of fifty
years old. This startup meeting was part of the initial phase
of the NFCT Campaign . . . be on the lookout for news of our Campaign
Launch in the near future!
In addition to the
laughs, smiles and reminisces of many wonderful shows gone by,
on March 11th we got down to business on the Campaign Structure
and how we will be moving forward to get a new home for the NFCT
by August of 2012 (when we need to vacate the current NFCT building).
The NFCT Campaign is made up of nine committees that offer a variety
of opportunities for individuals to contribute their time, energy
and talents to the NFCT. These committees are: Event Planning,
Fundraising, Grant Research and Writing, Communications, Information
Management, Government and Community Liaison, Treasurer, Youth
on Stage Representation, and Building.
All new and current members and friends of the NFCT are encouraged
to participate in the Campaign by helping out one of these committees.
