RFCT’s NOVEMBER SHOW AUDITIONS
Auditions for the Riverhead Faculty Community Theatre’s November show Forum will be June 2nd and June 4th at 6:30 PM in the Pulaski Street School’s Cafetorium. If needed, callback date is June 9th. There will be five performances (including a Sunday matinee) in November. Sorry, no children needed this year. All roles are open.

HAVE YOU EVER WANTED TO PERFORM, BUT CAN’T MAKE THE BIG REHEARSAL COMMITMENT? THE CAMPAIGN TEAM IS BRAINSTORMING ON HOW TO COME UP WITH DIFFERENT PRODUCTION TYPES THAT WOULD HAVE A LIMITED PERFORMANCE AND REHEARSAL SCHEDULE. WE WANT SINGERS, DANCERS, ACTORS AND “HAMS” TO PERFORM. CALL MARY MOTTO KALICH AT 917-334-6639 OR MARYMOTTO@YAHOO.COM WITH IDEAS OR TO VOLUNTEER.

"The NFCT has started up a Campaign to find, fund and build a new home for the theatre when our lease expires in August of 2012. We need to pool the energy and skills of all of us who love the NFCT to ensure that it continues to thrive here on the North Fork . Please do consider volunteering even just a few hours of your time. To hear more about the NFCT Campaign call 917-334-6639 or email me at marymotto@yahoo.com

NOTICE OF BYLAW CHANGES FOR THE ANNUAL MEETING
Add the Campaign Committee as a standing committee. The Campaign Committee’s mission is to “find, fund and build/renovate a permanent home for the NFCT.”
Membership in this organization (NFCT) is open to all who are interested in community theatre and its purposes and contribute at least the active member’s fee to the theatre. This can be done via donation or by ad subscription.

NFCT ADVERTISING DRIVE
The NFCT is doing a special “Advertising Drive” this June as part of an effort to reach out and engage businesses as part of our NFCT community. Advertising in the NFCT Program is a great way to support the NFCT as well as to reach the 5,000 + audience members who read our programs each year. For June only, we are offering a special rate where advertisers will get an ad in 5 show programs (summer ’08 through summer ’09) for the price of only 4 shows. For more information, contact Janet Bidwell at JanetRB@aol.com or 631-255-4088. We are also looking for volunteers to be on the “NFCT Ad Team” and go out to businesses to tell them about our NFCT Program Advertising possibilities. To join the Ad Team please contact Susan Esposito at 631-765-8115 or SCANDBE@optonline.net

THE PLAYREADING COMMITTEE UPDATE: Last month’s list of plays submitted was a little inaccurate. Anne Gilvarry, chairwoman, apologizes for these discrepancies (and has consequently been let out of the basement at the theatre). She is happy to now share the correct list. Adult musical: Anything Goes (with director), Guys and Dolls, and Sweeney Todd; Youth Musical: Big, Carousel, Oliver (with director), The Sound of Music (with director), and The King and I (with director; Plays: The Voysey Inheritance, Labor Day, Arms and the Man, Of Mice and Men (with director), The House of Blue Leaves, Proof, The Woman in Black, Doubt, Hay Fever and Guilty Conscience. Anyone interested in volunteering to direct should contact Anne at 631-298-1317

The NFCT wants you!!! For 50 years this “little theatre” has made a large impact on the community and those involved in the shows. Please renew your membership ($10 single or $20 per family) if you haven’t already done so …

STORIES! The NFCT 50th Anniversary booklet is available for theatergoers, freely given at all performances. If you have stories to be included, submit them to Rusty ASAP. Ask yourself: what was your first show at NFCT and what made it special? What was your favorite role and why? Did anything go wrong (sets, lights, costumes, actors) in performance? How did you deal with it? Do you have any “dream roles” you’d like to perform (especially at the NFCT?)
